Nigeria is a country that gained sovereignity in October 1st 1960 from Great Britain. Since the independence Nigeria has experienced many upheavals from Socio,economic,religious and political problems.The country had experienced series of coup d'etats from some military juntas.
It has over 250 ethnic diversities sub-divided into three major tribes( Yoruba,Igbo and Hausa).
The country political system had been dominated by the Hausa mostly through military by coup d'etats.
Though the first prime minister was Alhaji Tafawa Balewa while the first president then was Dr Nnamdi Azikwe. After a while the government was swept away by coup d'etats from Major General Aguiyi Ironsi,since then the country had turned into film like house!
Nigeria is a great country in Africa, it has many multi talents in several fields and blessed with a lot of natural resources. It has 32 natural resources but more than half of the population live in less than 1 dollar per day or absolutely poverty.
There a lot of carnages, political turmoil,disaster,erratic power supply, unaccounted death tolls,corruption,crimes,violences and high rate of unemployment among youths.
Some tribes see Nigeria political system as a cheat because they have not tasted power since independence while some see it as a biased and cursed country because since sovereignity they have their tribe in power once! Yet we call ourselves ''ONE NIGERIA''.
We shall be truly "ONE NIGERIA" when there is rotational president among all tribes. We shall be truly ''ONE NIGERIA" when we live with love and peace. We shall be truly "ONE NIGERIA" when we do things in brotherhood and forgive one another.
Which way Nigeria since sovereignity with upheavals,carnages,corruption,evil vices ...........which way to go?
