Election is the process of electing new leaders to take over an appointment. We do this through electoral votes.Ivory Coast had an election which spawned mayhem,unrest , violence and carnages. The incumbent President of Ivory Coast claimed the election held was manipulated in the Northern region of his country where his opposition Alassane Quatarra came from. But the United Nations,African union and other international observers said the election was free and fair beside was widely won by his opposition.
Now the real truth is yet unknown.But President Gbagbo did something that was very appalling allowing election to take place when he is not ready to cede power.This election has claimed lives of thousands of innocent people. He should be held and brought to justice for crime against humanity.
President Alassane Quattara and other Ivorians should learn from this incident. It is a big lesson for everyone. I wish the rest Ivorians long live and peace.
